Experience Winter in Yellowstone through the eyes of experienced Naturalist Educators. This trip will be full of wildlife viewing opportunities and Winter activities in this unique and historic location. Guests will be staying in one of two beautiful lodges just outside of the park where two gourmet meals per day will be prepared by our leaders and shared with the group. The focus of the trip is wildlife, and guests will be provided with Swarovski spotting scopes and will be led to viewing hot-spots throughout the Excursion experience in order to locate and view the animals each day. There will be plenty of other adventures as well, including explorations outside of the park and visits with local guest experts in the field.

Expedition Overview
Daily Activities
Each day is full of wildlife watching and time in the field exploring and learning about this magnificent National Park. There will be a heavy focus on the wolves inhabiting the Lamar Valley region of Yellowstone as these creatures are quite visible during this season, and are vastly interesting to learn about and observe. Our morning will be dictated by the weather, the wolves, and the group’s stamina, and immediately following our wildlife watching, we will head back to lodge for brunch. Each afternoon, a different activity or adventure ensues as there are so many interesting places to see, people to meet, and things to do. Some of the activities we have planned are…
- snowshoeing outside the park
- visiting Mammoth Hot Springs
- meeting with local experts, authors, and photographers
Dinner will be prepared by the trip leaders and will be served at the lodge in the early evening. As darkness falls, the group will be able to socialize together, gather themselves, and prepare for the next day.
