Twenty-six expeditions and counting… yes, since 2000 whether it was through the University at Buffalo or with Earth Spirit, I have had incredible journeys to Alaska!
This year, through Earth Spirit, I am continuing these journeys as we offer two styles of adventure. This May we will spend our days exploring a sampling of what Alaska is all about – mountain ranges and then more mountain ranges, rivers and valleys, and diverse landscapes that also feature great opportunities to see incredible wildlife. There we search for the big five; Grizzlies, Moose, Caribou, Wolf, and Sheep. We will venture to areas where, if we are fortunate, we will see over one-hundred Bald Eagles feasting on the shore and bluffs as we view across the bay at a 10,000ft volcano! There is so much more too. And, for those who sign up in May we offer warm beds in assorted cabins and Airbnb’s! Yes, warm bed at night! Did I forget to mention that we also do a Marine Wildlife and Glacier tour at Resurrection Bay in Seward?
Moving on to our August Adventure – And yes, we do very similar experiences as in our May trip but add quite a bit of backcountry experience as we tent camp in some of the most isolated yet spectacular locations! Providing you bring a 20 degree sleeping bag – you too will have a warm “bed” at night. Not to mention – in one place I call “Porcupine Hill”, you will wake up, open your tent fly and reach out to grab some delicious low bush blueberries just waiting for you to pick!
Won’t you join me and my staff for an amazing sampling of what the great state of Alaska offers!
